If it appears I have been quite dormant lately, let me assure you: I am not. Dormant is hardly what to describe me and how sleep deprived I am. Year twelve is really taking it out of me, but I suppose they've got to make us want to leave and shoving assignments down our throat is the way to go. I am pretty much running on caffeine. I'm going to upload some photos of what I've done in my school and TAFE art classes into scraps. I enjoy TAFE art so much more, we only just got our first theory piece this year. A 300 word essay on an art movement... how eaaaasy! If only school OP art was like that, ey? I have taken photos, with my lovely, shiny Canon, I simply have no time to tend to them right now. A former friend also generously gave me a Holga! I was crying with happiness at work when she gave it to me... like, whoa.

Art classes aside, I got an A+ on my last English assignment. I might submit the story. I've also been getting straight As in French which I am ecstatic about, my language is really developing. Alors! J’aurai à France l'année prochaine! D’aout a juin, 2011. Je aurai le lycée et que serai bien. I am going on student exchange next year for the French academic year. I am SO excited.

... I have to go to work now and then am going out tonight, I'll finish this tomorrow. Sorry.

So, two weeks later. See what I mean by being busy? I am in charge of fundraising for my year level's formal this year, one idea we've come up with is the art students will sell some work of ours. It should be good.
Last Monday I also got up far too early and on just a couple of hours sleep to go to Brisbane and I went to the GoMA. I saw the China Project which was quite impressive. Especially the bronze busts. I was half expecting them to open their eyes and stare back at me. Up stairs was Breaking Boundaries, which was a collection of Aboriginal artist's works, which was thoroughly enjoyable. I also went to the Queensland Art Gallery, which was quite disappointing because over half of it was sectioned off in preparation for a massive exhibition of American impressionist and realist works from the Met. Went shopping in Queenstreet Mall... I spent over $300 in about two hours.
I have also been appointed official photographer of my school's entry to the Rock Eisteddfod. It'll be pretty cool. I'll have the whole media pass thing going on down at comp.

That's all I can think of, my brain doesn't work much anymore. Even on twice the amount of sleep I normally get. Huzzah.
